Lesia A. Savchenko

Doctor of Sciences (Jurisprudence), Professor, Honored Scientist of
Ukraine
Lesia A. Savchenko graduated from Kyiv State University named after Taras Shevchenko in
1993.
From 1993 to 2007 she worked at the National Academy of State Tax
Service (Associate Dean, Chair, Dean of Law Department, the first vice-rector).
Since February 2007 - Vice-Rector for Scientific Research in Kyiv
International University.
In 1997 she defended dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Legal
Sciences.
In 2002 she defended dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Legal
Sciences.
In 2000 she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor, in
2003 – the academic rank
of Professor.
Lesia A. Savchenko has more than 90 scientific
publications. The author of 2 individual and co-author of 2 collective
monographs, 2 textbooks, 10 manuals, 2 scientific comments of the Budget Code
of Ukraine.
Lesia A. Savchenko, professor - supervisor of
4 post-graduate candidates and 6 post-graduates. Under her leadership, 5
candidates defended their theses for the degree of candidate of legal sciences.
On the career way, Lesia A. Savchenko was
awarded more than once with diplomas of the STA of Ukraine for advances in
science and professional activity for diligent work, high professional level, a
significant contribution to specialists training for the State Tax Service.
In 2001, for her significant contribution to the preparation of highly
qualified personnel, the development of tax system of Ukraine and
professionalism, she was awarded with Diploma by the Cabinet of Ministers of
Ukraine.
In 2002 she won the Third All-Ukrainian contest for the best
professional achievement "Lawyer of the Year” in the category "Lawyer
- the organizer of legal science". That same year, for a significant
contribution to the development of national education, she was awarded with
Diploma of Kiev mayor.
In 2003 Lesia A. Savchenko
received Diploma of the laureate of all-Ukrainian Law Fund of law academician
V.V. Stashys.
In 2004 she was awarded by the World Association of Lawyers for active
public work. In the same year she was awarded with "Honorary worker of the
State Tax Service of Ukraine” badge and awarded by Ukrainian Foundation for
scientific and economic and legal cooperation
with Badge of Honor "For diligent service to Ukraine”.
By the decree of President of Ukraine from 07.10.2004 she was awarded
with the Order of Princess Olga of the third rank for a significant contribution
to the development of law-geverned state, protection of constitutional rights
and freedoms of citizens, high professionalism.
