Residence regulations

for foreigners during their study in Ukraine

 

  1. Foreigners who arrived in Ukraine for study are to execute and abide by norms and regulations during their dwelling in Ukraine according to the Rules of Entering, Exiting & Transiting Ukraine by Foreigners drawn by Order of the Cabinet of Ministers #1074 of October 29th, 1995.

 

  1. Having arrived at the higher education institution according to the invitation, a foreigner has to sign a study contract, pay money for the first year of study (_____________) and submit his/her national passport to the University’s administration for prolongation of duration of stay in Ukraine within first 3 days (72 hours) of residence.

 

  1. Persons who arrived at Kyiv International University from other cities of Ukraine are to have passports with entry visa or a departure stamp from Ukraine.

 

  1. Foreigners who have an expired national passport are to prolong or have another one and submit it to the administration of the private higher education institution. It is forbidden to stay on the territory of Ukraine with an expired passport.

 

  1. A foreigner has to hand over his/her national passport to the administration of the private higher education institution for prolongation of the right of residence in Ukraine (registration) within 10 days before the registration expiration.

 

  1. A foreigner who signs a contract for hostel occupation has to abide by the rules of hostel internal regulations as well as the terms of the contract.

 

  1. A foreigner can draw up the local dwelling upon the following conditions:

§     to sign a contract with the owner of an apartment certified in the housing committee;

§     to submit a copy of a passport of the owner of an apartment with the confirmation of his/her registration at the stared address;

§     to submit a permission of the Department of Citizenship, Emigration, and Registration of Physical Persons processed at the petition of the education institution.

 

  1. A foreigner must inform the administration of the education institution before his/her leaving abroad or to other cities of Ukraine as well as after his/her return.

 

  1. A foreigner must leave Ukraine within fixed time after his/her graduation or expultion from an education institution.

 

  1. If a foreigner violates these rules, he/she will:

§     be subject to administrative penalty through the court authority actions, the fine is 340-680 hrn. to pay;

§     be detained in the Internal Affairs Department from 3 hours up to 1 day before bringing before court;

§     be excluded from Ukraine at the foreigner’s expense

§     be subject to criminal liability according to the Ukraine’s legislation.

 

A foreigner can obtain the invitation:

§     personally signing in the register;

§     through an intermediator firm;

§     trough a representative in Ukraine on the basis of the letter of attorney notarized in Ukraine.

 

      The invitation will be drawn up under condition of all-inclusive payment.
