The
Department of Social and Political Sciences
The Department of
Social and Political Sciences was set up in 2009. Highly qualified professors
having scientific degrees work at the department.
Professor Raisa P. Ivanchenko is the head of the department.
Leading professors:
R. Ivanchenko is a
professor, candidate of historic sciences, well known writer and scholar. She
conducts lectures in Ukrainian history, having written some manuals in the
field. She is an author of many scientific investigations, monographs, articles
and textbooks. R. Ivanchenko has been a member
of the National Ukrainian Writers’ Union since 1977. She took part in
making a number of programs and documentaries. She is a laureate of the
National Taras Shevchenko Prise since 1996, has many
other awards.
A. Klimash is professor,
candidate of historic sciences. Ethnic policy, history of political sciences
both in Ukraine and in the world, transformations of post-Soviet societies of
East Europe are among her interests.
Teaching staff of
the department work on the topic Problems of Ukrainian Statehood in Terms of
European Political Culture and Social, Economic and Political Processes
in Ukraine in the Context of Global Development.
Scientific research
of the department is made of dozens of scientific articles, scientific and
methodological manuals, and reports at international and all-Ukrainian
conferences, symposiums and round table discussions.
Setting up
post-graduation studies by the speciality 23.00.02 – Political Institutes
and Processes can be referred to achievements of the department. The
department regularly holds round table discussions, conferences, with materials
being published at university and beyond.
