Pedagogical Art Department

The Head of the department is professor Lyubov V. Artemova.

The department gives job to PhDs and DLitts, professors and assistant profs. Teachers and post-graduates work on their dissertations as well as write text-books and educational supplies; in numerous publications they reveal results of their researches and use modern interactive strategies, developing learning methods and technical aids in their work with students. The department of pedagogic mastery provides teaching of pedagogic cycle disciplines and pedagogic practical sessions in the institutes and schools of KIU:

The department of pedagogic mastery provides training of Masters of pedagogy in the specialty: “Pedagogy in the higher school”.

The department of pedagogic mastery carries out the research on the topic “The content and modern degree education technologies accordingly to the State educational standards in Ukraine”. The research manager is prof. Artemova L.V., doctor of pedagogy. The research programme is approved by the vice-rector on science on Feb. 5, 2004, by the KIU senate − on Oct. 29, 2005. The topic is registered by the Ukrainian ІNТЕІ May 6, 2004 (State reg. No 0104U003164). The research term is 2004-2010.

Another topic “Patterns of innovation development in the general educational establishment” is also under way.

The department of pedagogic mastery prepares a scholarly periodical with publications of research results belonging to their masters, post-graduates and teachers: “Visnyk KyMY” (KIU Herald), Series “Pedagogic disciplines”. Since 2002 13 issues have been released. We invite you to participate in next issues of the Visnyk provided the requirements of the Superior Attestation Commission (VAK) are met.

The students who are preparing for the Master’s degree in the specialty 8.000005 “Higher school pedagogics” are given creative assignments as a training for pedagogic practical session: lecture preparation methods, seminar preparation methods, lab/practical class preparation methods, psycho-educational testimonial on a student etc. Students’ researches are taken into account in passing examination.
