Students' Practice is an integral component of the educational process at the TV-, Film Art Department. The aim is to provide practical training of students in modern methods, forms and instruments of labor organization in their future profession, forming their professional skills for making independent decisions during field work in the real market and production conditions, based on the knowledge obtained in Kyiv International University, updating their knowledge systematically and creatively applying it in practice.
Students can practice at the leading television channels of Ukraine.
The Department organizes and supervises the work of students
research teams in the following areas:

– audiovisual art circle (Supervisor - teacher O.A. Kvasnytsky);
– master classes with leading practitioners of theater, film, television (responsible - Assoc. prof. S.M. Poleshko).
The main areas of research activities:
Formation of television information space in Ukraine and abroad
Analysis of Ukrainian and European TV journalism and TV directing and its impact on the national traditions
Implementation of ideas that are spread in the media into the socio-political, economic, cultural life of the Ukrainian State
Scientific Theme of the Department:
"Scientific-practical study of the creative process in various arts (film, television, theater)”.
The educational process is widely uses the opportunities and of
educational and production TV studio of KIU:
For conducting lessons in "Skills of continuity announcer and moderator", “Stagecraft”, "Cinema and TV directing ", "Camera operating skills", "Cross-cutting" led by experienced supervisors, students prepare educational course and diploma works in specially equipped studios, computer editing studios; acting classes are held in specially equipped rehearsal rooms.
In 2008, the Robert Bosch German Fund launched a new project "The matter of view point” (Project Manager - Katy Ronke). The purpose of this project is to unite talented youth engaged in cinematography from different European countries. Ukraine became the first country. For creative collaboration two Ukrainian universities were selected - Kyiv International University and Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film and Television University, where real artists of film and television are raised.
In April 2009, Professor I.K. Dniprenko and three students of Kyiv International University (as well as the same group from Karpenko-Kary Kiev National University of Theatre, Film and Television University) were invited to the Dresden Short Film Festival in Germany, within which took place the world premiere of videos, created by Ukrainian students. The show was held in Dresden at the Metropolis cinema on the wide screen. Irina K. Dniprenko together with the students was invited to the stage, where they were filmed by television of Germany, and pictures were made for newspapers. Ukrainian students of TV-, Film Art Department of Kyiv International University worthily represented creative youth of Ukraine.
