Educational and qualification levels:

 Extensive professional knowledge of the specialty (for bachelor’s degree) is formed by the following blocks of subjects:

 Block of Humanitarian and SOCIO-ECONOMIC subjects

Ukrainian language for professional orientation, psychology, philosophy, foreign language, history of Ukrainian culture, history of Ukraine, politology, physical education.

Block of natural-scientific and general economic subjects

Theory of state and Law, World History, basic computer, the history of political doctrines of the world, history of philosophy, political geography, basic ecology and safety of life, the general theory of politics, philosophy of politics, basic world politics, international relations theory, social philosophy, basic management and marketing, history of political thought in Ukraine, comparative constitutional law, ethnic policy.

Block of professionally-oriented  subjects

Introduction to the specialty, pedagogics, labor law, conflict studying, administrative law, political psychology, civil law, demography, public relations, university education, rhetoric and communication ethics, international relations and world politics, eco-politics, theory and practice of communication, local government, foreign policy of Ukraine, the psychology of influence, the analysis of foreign policy, global geopolitics and political process, the theory of democracy, political ideology, political sociology, theory of political parties, political institutions and processes in Ukraine, methods of political analysis, economics and foreign economic relations of Ukraine, the theory of state administration, technology policy process, theory and practice of civil society, elections and electoral systems, theory of elites and polics, political problems of social management, methods of teaching social and political subjects, foreign language (professional course), the problems of life in Ukrainian home policy, social politics in Ukraine, regional politics, political image, political ethics, political culture in transition, politics and religion, information systems and technologies, nation as the subject of politics etc.

 Extensive professional knowledge of the specialty (for master’s degree) is formed by the following blocks of subjects:

Theory and practice of high school, methodology and methods of political studies, comparative politology, political forecasting, state policy analysis, implementation of master's work, political management, social and legal system, the theory of political conflicts, geopolitics and foreign policy strategy, information-analytical support of political relations, public relations, global problems of modernity, political marketing etc.

Students of the Institute of Psychology, Social and Political Sciences

 receive practical training in:

Ø  committees and subdivisions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;

Ø  government bodies and local government;

Ø  representations of political parties and international organizations;

Ø  public organizations and editorial offices of the leading media.

 After a full academic course a specialist in Politology is prepared for the following kinds of work:

q  political and technological;

q  politica  and consulting;

q  political design (strategic planning of public policy);

q  political and organizational;

q  research (in public and private institutions);

q  teaching (in higher educational and secondary institutions).
