Specialist in Cinema and Television art
(film director, director of
photography, TV-newscaster and continuity announcer)
educational and qualification levels:
Bachelor’s
degree, Master’s degree.
Duration of Studies:
bachelor – 4 years;
master – 1 year and a half on the basis of basic higher
education, 1 year on the basis of complete higher education;
master – 1 year on the
basis of complete higher education.
Education – full-time,
extra-mural.
Academic process in the Institute is accomplished by
scientists and practical workers known not only in Ukraine but also abroad.
Extensive professional knowledge
of the specialty is formed in the process of teaching of the following blocks
of subjects:
Subjects in Humanitarian and Socio-economic training
Modern Ukrainian language, History of Ukraine, physical
training, the history of Ukrainian culture, philosophy, sociology of art, politology.
Basic film- and TV- equipment, basic ecology and safety of life, history
of world literature, introduction to the specialty, the history of Ukrainian
literature, photography and film- and photo-materials, foreign language, basic
theory of dramatic art, videography and editing
splice techniques, stage and screen language, film- and TV-operator skills,
basic computer and EC, history of art, art of audiovisual advertising,
TV-journalism, scenography of theatre, film and
television, history of material culture and way of life, music history and
music literature, history of world cinema, history of Ukrainian cinema, sound
and music in film and television, history of television.
Subjects in Vocational training
Basic stage-directing, mastery of actor, history of producing, montage,
film- and TV-producing, culture of speech, business etiquette, choreography,
university education.
Film director
Film- and TV-producing, organization of TV-production
and film- and TV-producing, directing practical work, viewing seminar,
choreography, university education.
Director of photography
Mastery of film- and TV-operator, figurative
resolution of film, practical work of operator, viewing seminar.
TV-newscaster and
continuity announcer
Culture of speech, mastery of television anchorman, practical work in TV
programs conducting, viewing seminar.

of educational work are actively used in the Institute of Television, Cinema
and Theatre of KyIU:

of Ukraine and abroad;

on the formation matters of national and global information space;
● practical work at TV-companies (TV channel “Studio 1+1", "New
channel", "TRK Era", "K1");
● annual international festival “Young TV";
● creative contests on the best
publishing, TV- and radio program, photo illustration;
● master-classes of leading actors
and producers;
● scientific and practical conferences
for students, creative and talent shows, participation in festivals;
● concerts and performances;
● charity shows.
Television studio is actively used in the vocational training of
students of the Institute. On its basis they prepare releases of a TV-program
"Student ID” which is broadcast to all regional TV-channels in Ukraine.
After a full academic course a specialist in Cinema
and Television art may hold the following positions:
