An integrated program of 2 year training for masters in "Foreign Policy" has been operating since 2007. The specialty "Analysis of Crises" (training period 2 years) with the possibility of graduation in KyIU (Ukraine) and University of Rome «La Sapienza» (Italy). In May 2008, students of the program for master’s degree were trained at the University «La Sapienza».

Institute has a Post-Graduate division:

  13.00.04 – theory and methods of vocational education;

  07.00.02 – World History;

  11.00.02 – economic and social geography.

Educational process in the Institute of International Relations is provided by 7 departments:

International and Comparative Law Department. Head of Department − professor T.V. Danchenko.

International Economic Relations Department. Head of Department − assistant professor O.M. Matusova.

International Relations and Foreign Policy Department. Head of Department − professor B.V. Zazhyhaev.

Country studying and International Tourism Department. Head of Department – assistant professor A.H. Hol’tsov.

International Information and Computer Science Department. Head of Department – assistant professor Ie.V. Riaboshtan.

Germanic Languages Department.

Oriental Philology Department. Head of Department – professor I.V. Timenko.

23 foreign languages are taught in the Institute of International Relations, both European and Oriental languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Chinese, French, Japanese, Farce, Italian, Swedish, Hindi, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish and others.

Students of the Institute of International Relations have the opportunity to take language training in England (Centre for the English language learning – Eurospeak Language School).

Scientific work

  Major research areas: "International, legal, political and economic principles of European integration of Ukraine" and "Protection of human rights: international and national aspects".

  Scientific conferences: "Tourism - a key to understanding between nations" (25.09.09); a round table dedicated to the United Nations Day of creation (24.10.09); seminar "Ukraine's Economy in a global economic crisis "(25.11.09); scientific and practical conference "Inductive System technologies of information and analytical studies in international relations" (18.12.09), a round table to the Day of Ukrainian Diplomacy (22.12.09);scientific and practical conference "Long-term prediction in complex systems (based on international relations)" (20.01.10).

Centre for International Law

Kyiv International University has one of the strongest programs of participation in competitions with international law in Ukraine, the implementation of which is entrusted to the Centre for International Law. The first experience of participating teams in the competitions of the University of international law was in February 2000. In subsequent years, the University teams won all the national competitions with international law and eight years straight had the right to represent Ukraine at the international competitions in Washington (United States), The Hague (Netherlands).

Within the Centre for International Law university teams prepare to participate in many other competitions, including competition with international humanitarian law named after Jeanne Pikte, competition with EU law for Central and Eastern Europe countries, competition in international commercial arbitration and competition in international criminal law.

Judicial room

As a part of the Centre for International Law is a judicial room, which is modeled after a real courtroom. In this room students of the Institute of International Relations and Institute of Law students can conduct hearings in various fields. It helps students get practical experience of the trial, learn the rules for court proceedings and enhance their abilities and skills.
