Duration of Studies:

bachelor – 4 years.

 Extensive professional knowledge in the specialty is formed by the following blocks of subjects:

Block of Humanitarian subjects

Philosophy, History of Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian language for professional orientation, the English language, History of Ukraine, politology, university education.

 Block of professionally-oriented  subjects

Microeconomics, macroeconomics, history of economics and economic thought, higher mathematics, statistics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, money and credit, logistics, international trade, computer economics, international organizations, foreign economics, economic analysis, management, marketing,

international economic law, finance of companies, finance, organization of innovative activity, project management, political economy, labor economics and socio-labor relations, international economics, national economy, controlling, regional economics, international financial markets, international marketing, international competitiveness, accounting in foreign countries; audit in foreign countries, multinational corporations, international economic activity of Ukraine, foreign exchange transactions, international monetary and credit relations, European integration etc.

Students receive practical training at:

- companies and firms that have international links;

- trade representative offices;

-  banks and financial institutions;

-  investment companies;

-  consulting firms;

-  the industrial and commercial enterprises.

After a full academic course a specialist in International Economics is prepared for work associated with:

Ø  international financial transactions and securities transactions;

Ø  credit and settlement operations between the subjects of foreign trade and foreign economic activity;

Ø  creation of banking, credit and insurance institutions outside Ukraine;

Ø  international Wholesale and retail trade;

Ø  common business activities;

Ø  enterprise management;

Ø  project analysis and business planning;

Ø economic calculations and forecasting;

Ø  state administration;

Ø  research and market analysis;

Ø  providing services to foreign business entities.

May hold the following positions:

veconomist in foreign companies and firms that have international links;

vtrade representatives, agents with commercial services;

vdealers and brokers on financial transactions of sale of goods;

vchief specialist, head of the commercial services, in wholesale, retail and stock market, stock exchanges.
