Shvayka

Mykhaylo A. Shvayka was born in Avhustivka village, Kozivskyi district,
Ternopil region. He graduated from Lviv Trade and Economic Institute, training
courses for teachers of political economy of the Ministry of Higher Education
of the USSR at Kyiv University named after T. Shevchenko.
Mykhaylo A. Shvayka is a well-known socio-political activist and
scholar, author of 500 scientific works. Author of the first reform program of
Economy of Ukraine, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. His main works
are the following:
– Economic methods for accelerating reproductive
processes. Institute of Economy of Ukraine;
– What is the banking system of Ukraine need (for the
concept of formation and development of the banking system in Ukraine).

– Cost accounting and its role in economic management.
Mykhaylo A. Shvayka is an activist of the national
revival; is referred to fathers of statehood, to the founders of Ukrainian
monetary and banking system; initiator of the introduction of hryvnia, the author
of many legislative and regulatory acts that laid the foundation of statehood.
He was awarded by the President of Ukraine with the Order “Merits"
of the III rank for special merits in development of Ukrainian statehood,
active legislative work; with the Medal of the President of Ukraine
"Defender of the fatherland"; Medal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
"10 years of Independence of Ukraine" for significant personal
contribution to the development of parliamentarism in Ukraine, an active part
in legislative activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and state building;
Gold Medal named after M.I. Tugan-Baranovsky for significant advances in
economic science. He received a national award for the program for monetary
reform. Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, public
servant of the first rank.
